Founded by Kiwis back in 1996, Coffee Culture has expanded throughout the South Island and has one store in Hamilton. Still owned and run with passion and heart by founder Chris Houston and his wife Sacha Coburn, they’ve been joined by Mike King and Murray Walsh and together they are hands-on in the business looking after franchisees and ultimately delivering coffee goodness to thousands of loyal guests every day.

We’re now looking to expand further in both the North and South Islands bringing the finest espresso coffee and wonderful service to even more communities. Our stores are all individually designed to be beautiful and reflect the local environment. We build stores you can be enormously proud of, that are tailor made for operational excellence and the very best experience for our guests. Master roasters ensure our house blend is roasted to perfection and introduce single origin varieties and innovative brewing techniques to keep our offering right up there with the best of what’s on offering anywhere in the world.

Our owners love the support we provide and our fees are incredibly competitive enabling store owners to generate an excellent return on their investment and their sweat equity.

Skills & training

We’re looking for people who love people. Making great coffee and leading a team to serve guests is hugely important. Our owners are actively involved in the business and love the rewards of growing and developing their teams.

We provide full training and offer comprehensive support that doesn’t dry up after the first few months. We’re right in there with you, every step of the way.

Ideally you’ll have experience working with young people or in fast paced environments and thrive on the hustle and bustle of a busy workplace.

You’ll need to have positive intent to get on and do the work us and it’s important to us that you share our values that include treating staff really well, being respectful of all cultures, and caring about sustainability and our environment.
