About Redfern Cottage
Dr William Redfern, one of Australia's most distinguished medical practitioners, built the Redfern Cottage before 1820. He came as a convict yet rose from the depths to an honoured place in our history. He was a pioneer of Australian medicine, agriculture and husbandry and a citizen who contributed significantly to the welfare of the early colony. The medical centre provides a gross floor area of 1383SQM in the north-western part of the site, which is designed to accommodate the following:
12 practitioners or other medical specialists/professionals
Imaging/radiography centre
Pathology Clinic
Dentistry Clinic
Pharmacy
The medical centre would be fit for occupation in 15 18 months after signing the lease.
